Applesauce buttercookie cake

Good evening lovelies,
ah isn´t it great, it is December, Christmas isn´t that far away anymore. To be exactly only 16 days to go and it snowing (at least at my place). Am I the only one who wants something to eat that tastes like Christmas and winter and december but doesn´t take to long to do? I don´t think so. ;)

And are you dreaming too about all this?
If the answer is yes, then stop immediately and go ahead!

Today I gonna show you a recipe I got & learned from my lovely mum.(Mums always have the best recipes) The recipe is quite simple.

We gonna make this:

Applesauce buttercookies cakes

What you need when you gonna use 4-5 apples like me:

  • 1 ovenproof dish
  • 1 pot
  • a whisk
  • a peeler and a knife
  • 4-5 apples ( pink lady/ mine were from our backyard)
  • 2 packings of  butter biscuits ( whole wheat or normal ones)
  • 1-2 Tbsp of cinnamon

and here we go!

  1. grease your ovenproof dish with olive oil or butter
  2. peel the apples and cut them into small pieces
  3. heat a pot with 100 ml water
  4. put the apple pieces into the pot and the boiling water
  5. put in 1-2 Tbsp of cinnamon
  6. stir slowly with a whisk for 20 min. / let it cool down
  7. put one layor of biscuits in the form
  8. add one layer apple sauce
  9. keep 10-12 biscuits for later
  10. mix the rest in a blender to crumbs and add a layer of crumbs
  11. do this so long until the last layer of apple sauce is done
  12. now take the 10-12 cookies and crumble them into small pieces
  13. add them as the final layer put pay attention that  there is still some space  between the edge and the crumbles, otherwise they will burn in the oven
  14. heat your oven to 180° and put the cake in for 10-15 min.
  15. or wait until the cookies on top get a golden brown color

One advice: It tastes delicious if you eat it warm and with a cup of hot chocolate or a tea. You can also eat it cold.

Have fun doing your own cake !
